Zito for Idaho
Throughout my political career and in every election I have participated in, I have made it my policy to conduct myself with grace, class, and dignity. There is an old Albanian saying: “If you lie down with dogs, you will wake up with fleas.”
Truth matters.
It saddens me to see the dark in-state money being used against candidates here in Idaho. I have always believed that I should earn your vote through honesty, candor, and truth, not by maligning my opponents.
I have been unwavering in my commitment to protect the rights and freedoms of every Idahoan.
I have stood with you to reduce taxes and stop the needless growth of government.
I secured Constitutional Carry in Idaho because I believe our constitutional rights do not stop at the borders of our state.
I carried legislation to reject a legislative pay raise because Idaho families are already feeling the crushing effects of inflation. Why should politicians take more while families are struggling to make ends meet?
I voted against spending $11 million on new offices for House members because this work is not about office space; it is about serving the people.
I voted against accepting federal COVID funds that created dependency on temporary government programs, only to leave many Idaho families hurting and abandoned when the money disappeared.
I fought to protect education programs that benefit our schools, and I voted to expand school choice because every child deserves the opportunity to receive the education that best fits their needs.
I voted against the state-funded needle exchange program that used your tax dollars to provide paraphernalia facilitating illegal drug use, a program ultimately shut down by law enforcement.
I have stood for you regardless of the personal or political cost.
You entrusted me to defend your financial freedom, protect you from burdensome government regulation, and preserve the Idaho values we hold dear.
Today, I humbly ask for your trust once again.
On May 19th, I ask for your vote.
Together, we can continue protecting the freedoms, values, and way of life that make Idaho, Idaho.
God bless,
Senator Christy Zito,
Idaho State Senate
District 8,
Protecting Freedom for Future Generations
