Thank you, Christy Zito, for bringing this power grab from darkness to light (which we soon won’t see much of if this rate increase is allowed).
This rate increase is outrageous. It clearly favors Non-Idaho Regional Interests, Green Energy Fanatics, and Big Corporate stakeholders -- not everyday citizens who will suffer greatly. Sadly that could be their plan: to drive everyday citizens out of their homes and into poverty.
Many have rightly stated (though we don't know who first said this): “He who controls energy controls the world.”
Data centers (especially for AI), cloud seeding, wind farms, solar, smart meters, wildfire immunity (which we begged the legislature to oppose) — all these insane ideas are destroying America and have already proven disastrous for Europe. Look at what’s happening in England, Spain, France and closer to home, CA and TX.
The push toward a surveillance state and the climate change hoax we’ve all been sold as truth were covered well during a recent segment of The Highwire:
Big E, you probably would also like the website: StopWorldControl.com. They make documentaries and articles about the world wide attack on the people and reveal what is being hidden (both good and bad). Also, unlike many who are in fear of the global agenda of the elites their message is of hope that revealing their evil intent is waking more people up to resist. They keep trying to kill the guy who puts this up and they keep deleting his website to remove the information, but he keeps putting the site back online. He makes pamphlets so you can spread the news about specific topics too. Naturalnews.com has an email newsletter that is good too. I find it a good place to hear news and opinions they don't want you to hear.
Thank you for the clarification. It isn't right for all Idahoans to pay significantly higher prices so that commercial companies can benefit. We don't want that.
I am opposed to IPC’s proposed rate increases. The wildfire mitigation earmark is unjustified. An investigation should be opened on IPC to assess their potential damage in chemically drying areas in their cloud seeding products. Instead, IPC, operating with special liability exemptions via IDWR contracts, is not working with DEQ to ensure the safety of the cloud seeding flare components. Rate payers deserve answers as to why IPC is now asking for more money as they never have to answer for environmental impacts their cloud seeding program has on wildfire. Unfortunately, misleading statements are made about the flare ingredients and only silver iodide is typically mentioned as the primarily ingredient. MSDS show that silver iodide accounts for a small percent of the total components. Now IPC using liquid propane as a seeding agent and no due diligence to find the environmental impacts of this flammable product? This rate increase must be a full stop. The public deserves answers and IPC must no longer receive taxpayer dollars to participate in open-air experiments.
Thank you for telling us. Here are bits of what I sent in:
... It disproportionately affects residential users while industrial and big corporations get off with less. ...We should be affected the same % or it is the government picking winners and losers. Also, ... coal works great and doesn't shut down in extreme weather. People died in TX over multiple years due to renewables failing them... unless you want a winter grid collapse that kills mass amounts of our population. ... Also, wildfire mitigation blackouts is a lie. You will kill people if you turn off some people's power.... This is not democracy to take a utility away the people pay for... Next we will have social scores tied to our smart meters and if you don't like our opinions we won't get electricity until we repent and bow to big brother.... It seems a ton of unnecessary changes are happening that cost money when you could just maintain what we have at a far greater benefit to the vast majority of ppl in ID. Don't pass rates higher than seniors cola's. I have seen too many lose their home because inflation and government has forced them out....
We must flood the IPUC case page in protest! Here’s a Substack note summarizing and sharing Sen Zito’s most excellent article and Call to Action: https://tinyurl.com/bdhjekjz
I sure would like to see the executive branch hold the IPUC accountable for rubber stamping rate increases. An unelected board should not have so much power.
Submit comments to stop this Outrageous rate hike. Idaho Power already raised its service fee from $5 to $15 last year. Here is the proposed hike -- Rate Increases:
17.02% increase in residential base rates.
Monthly service charge rises from $15 to $25 (67% increase).

This is NOT the world we want.
Everyone, please take the call to action. Speak up or risk having those in power think your silence is approval.

Technocrats are working on total control. That's obvious. This might have to do with that.
Maybe it's really about the data centers and the like...
